My T1R 76S Exhaust review (BEWARE) Edited

This thread has been edited. This what happened...

I first posted this thread saying I had problems with this exhaust being crooked, that the exhaust was hitting my under carriage. Now only realizing that I had the mid pipe on wrong. Which would fix these problems. So when you install this exhaust make sure you double check the mid pipe. The T1R emblem should face up on this pipe. This can be confusing because one might think that it should face down, so you could see it.

I owe T1R and especially Hybrid R a big apology for talking smack about the exhaust. The exhaust looks good, sounds good and the welds are good. I might be going to Canada in March so and if I do I will let you guys punch in the mouth a couple of times. Sorry guys I was pissed off.

My edited review.

If you want a good looking exhaust that has dual burnt titanium tips like I did and sounds quiet, without breaking the bank. This is the exhaust you want.

that really sucks man, to bad you had to make this thread as T1R will not refund/swap a good exahust for this one?

I would edit your post and see if T1R will make good with you, before you drag them through the mudd

many vendors would rather just replace their obvious mistake vs. getting these types of threads made that can swing healthy business one day into dire straights the next

hope you get your issue resolved

I edited it a little. I was a little angry when I wrote it. Thanks for the gut check.

My tips are burnt perfect! they are all different thou (since there hand burned with torch) is the exhaust installed right? I heard some people mis- installed the b pipe and hanger and when they fixed it cured some problems with the rattling/fitment. Not sure what your situation is but maybe you can check those just to see. I know the t1r badge should be pointing up on the pipe not towards the ground

^^yah, try re-installing it, obviously your tip issue won't be resolved but the thing might not rattle....

are you on the stock exhaust hangers? might want to try some larger one's too

did you contact T1R again?

Im betting you installed it wrong. You can twist the exhausts on this car and get them to bolt up even though they are not correct.

I had a shop want to install my high flow cat facing the wrong way. It all bolted up but it would have rattled. A simple flip of the HFC and a twist in the downpipe and it all bolted up correctly.

Please look at the second pic on my original post. Did I install the pipe wrong? Also the hangers are on the way it was on the stock exhaust.

Unless my eyes are playing tricks on me, you've got the midpipe, and possibly the test pipe (can't tell from your pics) installed backwards.

+1
T1R should specify this with the exhaust since quite a few people are having the problem of putting it in backwards! might make it better for the people who buy and dont read on here
as for the tips repolish and burn or just burn one side to match with a torch!
