I was looking at the HKS PN 31008BM001 but apparently they have pulled out of the north american market, what is an available equivalent exhaust.
I was looking at the Buschur.
my 2011 GSR is stock so far but a i am going with Magnus downpipe, race cat and dyno tune....in addition tothe catback.

They didn't pull out of the North America market really. Just closed their shops here. You can still get HKS parts here.

I have a Perrin catback mated to a turboxs test pipe. Nice and quiet at idle but WOT it's a beast. Wonder if it'll change with a downpipe...

I am curious about which of the exhaust will work with a drop in suspension height. I am looking to both improve my handling and lower the car, but I have read that a lot of the exhausts will not give me much clearance over dips or bumps in the road. Any recommendations?

Choice of exhaust

Hey fellas. I just got my 2011 Evo GSR and have some questions about the exhaust. Why do so many people want to change it, is it not good?. also, if I were to change it, I am more interested in increase power than looks or crazy sound. Any good pipes out there that fit that requirement. Thanks again.

Nothing wrong with the stock exhaust if your a girl. haha jk, No the stock exhaust is perfect and nothing wrong with it. The use of upgrades are whatever the person feels they want from their car. I just ordered the CNT racing 3" cat back with burnt dual tips. I did this because i wanted a nice look and a good sound.

For you it depends on what you want. if your looking for more hp and tourque, then start checking out some turbo back set-ups because the average gain (so they say) is around 30-50 hp with 3" downpipe and full exhaust. Again its your preference. Check out the website Lancershop.com, they have a good selection of both turbo back and cat back systems. check it out and feel free to get back to me, i'll answer any questions that i have answers too.

And if you plan on dropping your car, check out how low the pipes run, some pipes are real low to the ground depending on what set-up you choose, hope this info helps man.

lol, thanks for the "girly" comment. I would definitely change the exhaust set up if it gives me improvement in power. Im not too interested in crazy loud sound, but a nice little deep tone wouldn't hurt. I checked out the side like you advised and found a cat-back system from Tamioka that comes with everything except the down pipe. I also checked the one you bought. It is very nice. Good choice. What is the greatest difference between one exhaust set and the other, except for the price? Is it Performance, weight, quality?. Thanks again.

Is anyone running the Fast Intentions TBE Exhaust? I plan on going with their TBE and was wondering if anyone had any experience with them. From what I've read they also go by the name Specialty X.

Well the difference is in the tone, but most sound the same as far as the deepness of the sound. And some is a weight difference depending on the material used to make the exhaust. The system your looking at, the Tomioka, is only a cat back set-up, and that exact setup i'm not to familiar with. If your looking at spending that much money on a cat-back, upgrade to the TurboXs Turbo back setup for around 200 bucks more, depending on if you want the cat or not (they sell both setups on the site). That has the 3" setup and the downpipe, high flow cat or no cat straight pipe, and the dual tips that you are looking at. Just my input because the TurboXs exhaust setup is def a good choice, I know a lot of people with that setup and the quaility is awesome. Let me know what you think.
