HKS Racing Suction Kits

Hi all, how y'all doing?

I've got a Evo X FQ360 and am based in the UK. I have no mods at all, but am looking into carrying out a few small upgrades in the coming months.

Exhaust and Air Filter are the first 2 areas I'm going to look into;

My question is to people who have the HKS racing suction kits.

Are they any good? What type of gains have you seen? Any issues with Idle? Good sound? Dyno numbers?

Also anyone who has changed their standard airbox for some kind of induction kitand has seen good gains - What filter did you go for? Why? Good gains? Sound? Dyno numbers?

One of my concerns with the HKS filter is the amount of heat that can get to it...

Thanks

You're talking about the full intake kit, with the intake tube, and carbon airbox?

Our test Evo X MR is using it right now. It is similar in performance to the Colt Speed / Gruppe M, and AEM intake.

Rather suggest you don't ..

Your FQ360 mapping is rather lean already ..

^ Agreed, FQ360 has lower boost in the lower RPM compared to a normal Evo and higher boost in the higher RPM. It also has lower IGN Timing but the AFRs are really lean. I wouldn't recommend a change in your intake unless you plan on getting a tune.
