exedy stg2 4-puck questions...
i just finished the horrendous clutch install on my 8 MR.. that was a terrible weekend.. ugh.
anyway, everything is working, no leaks, no lights, no bs.
my flywheel was resurfaced(wasnt hurt, just wanted to be safe)
i installed the stainless clutch line, removed the restrictor in the slave, and installed the exedy stage 2 4-puck sprung disk. and here's my main question:
-when i was letting off the clutch for the first drive with it, it is WAAAAAAAAAAAY more sensative now, and i can hear the disc actually griding/growling inside the tranny as the pressure plate goes to grab.
is that normal? i mean its obviously very fresh to the surfaces and that disc is very harsh compared to oem. and it only does it if you try to slip it while engaging it easy from a dead stop. shifting etc is no prob.
anyone else had any kind of experience with this?
this clutch combo is a mean, "ready to eat", M-Fer!
Thanks!

What you describe is perfectly normal for a puck style clutch. It will get a little quieter and smoother as it breaks in, but it will never be as smooth as a full face organic disc.
