EVO X Anyone Making just an o2 housing?

I don’t see the necessity of getting a downpipe when it’s been tested not to make a significant increase in power but when combined with a larger o2 housing it does make power.

However,

I don’t want to be forced into buying a $400 o2/dump/ downpipe combo when I could possibly see similar gains on a $200 part without sacrificing for the noise of an o2 dump.

We tried making an O2 Housing only that would mate up with the standard short downpipe. The problem is that the angle is so tight that it would require far too much labor to create the product. This would drive up the cost and make it un-affordable. We have a few prototype pieces that we did make, but just too expensive to reproduce. If we did make them, they'd probably cost more than our current O2 Housing Downpipe.

that's for the 8/9, the UR dp/o2 is a nice piece, just a bit difficult to install

There are a couple downpipes that don't have the wategate dump. The Ultimate Racing one is just a DP/O2 Housing combo without a dump I'm pretty sure. The AMS one is on the way as well with DP/02 and no dump.

There is power to be made from the downpipe just not on a stock car at stock boost really. You'll see the advantages as you mod and up the boost or go big and switch to a larger turbo for sure

From what I read, the split exhaust & wastegaste design DP makes more power than combined design. Is this entirely true?

I think the AMS Proto was not split because they said it made more power.

As of right now, I don't think there is one out yet, I can talk to the shop and see about building a cost effective version if we get enough interest. Right now we only offer an o2/downpipe

Here are a couple pictures of our o2 / down pipe eliminator

Recirc Version

We also have an o2 dump version for the same price.

Full Details:

The dyno results should be up in about a week.

Thanks,

Michael

Does the ETS downpipe fit under OEM heat shield?

It allows the wastegate to vent to atmosphere which in some cases has shown to net more power by eliminating turbulance from the gases mixing back together. It also creates a serious roar and turbo hiss after peak boost is reached and the wastegate starts to bleed off the extra boost. youtube external wastegate to get an idea, basically over 4k it screams in a good way
