Did the test pipe come with the hanger for the wire? Or is that the stock wire hanger from the oem cat?

I just installed my Perrin catback.

For those of you that ordered a catback, be warned... the stock cat has a heat shield around is that is too big for the Perrin flange. The issue is that the Perrin is a real 3" exhaust and the cat is small and the flange is fully surrounded by a heat shield. I ended up cutting the bottom part of the shield off and bending the top part up. Took awhile, was a pain, because the car was on stands.

I'll probably order the downpipe + high flow cat combo at some point or another in the future.

I got the stealth catback and I love the way it looks. Very... well, stealthy. It's flat black and pretty hard to see against the diffuser, doesn't attract attention at all. Sounds really nice too, very deep off idle, but completely shuts up at cruise. I'll post some pictures and a mini review later.

The heat shield is kinda a pain cause the end flanges of the upper/lower sheld sections are crimped together, but if you're careful and patient the shield can be separated and spread out at the rear of the CAT housing.

Then while the flange end of the heat shield pieces are separated, bolt the CBE flanged pipe to the CAT (I highly recommend using some graphite/moly high-temp anti-seize goop here too) and then re-assemble the end of the shield pieces.

Might need a wee bit of small bending to keep it from rattling.

I think Perrin has the best deal. It looks clean, less weight, and I think its the only TBE on the market? All others are either axel back and misc downpipe.

Yeah the Perrin exhaust is a great exhaust and Im quite impressed overall, but it isn't the only TBE Hybrid R has one thats a complete exhaust. I simply couldn't wait any longer for them to release it so I pulled the trigger on the Perrin and happy I did.

just installed the TBE from perrin, cruising at 70-80 mph its very quiet. a bit louder than stock but still very quiet. has a really deep sound to it and sounds mean when really gettin on it. also was very easy to install. the down pipe was a bit trickey but not to bad. def worth the money

Has anyone figured out the performance gains when compared to other top brands like the Buschur, and also the overall weight of the Perrin TBE? I'm looking to pick up an exhaust soon and I think I like the looks and sound of the Perrin after watching some videos.

I want tbe to... my only question is how restrictive is the Perrin high flow cat vs. an open test pipe? Anybody found charts to compare this?

I installed the stealth CBE this weekend. On a completely stock GSR with no tune, it netted +4 WHP and +8 WTQ. I then flashed Cobb Stage 1 AP, and ended up with 298 WHP and 281 WQ...you can see my charts in the Dyno forum.

It is definitely louder than stock, but not intrusively so...especially when highway cruising around 3,000 RPM. The stealth look and sound was what attracted me...more power without unwanted attention, win-win for me
