Can I run my stock aluminum Evo shift knob with no problem if I go with your short shifter? Using the stock shifter boot? Do you also offer a replacement shift boot for the Evo X as well?

Anybody have issues with the emergency brake getting in the way with the shorter shifter height?

Any issues when using your aluminum shifter bushings? Will the platic assembly crack over time using them?

You can use your stock shift knob with the short shifter, the thread size is the same as the stock shifter. We do not offer a replacement shift boot yet but this is a project we want to work on later this year.

Concerning the aluminum base bushings, we have been selling this type of bushings since 2001 to different make and models and there is no issue at all related to the use of the bushings.

I hope this help!

I have TWM's short shifter, shifter base bushings, and one of their mirror polished weighted shift knob (1lb.!). It's a very noticable difference, I feel like it just rocks in and out of gear with ease. I don't notice any "extra" crunchiness, maybe switching to Amsoil fluid will fix that. A really good investment if you're about the driving experience.

I also have T1R's black suede shift boot w/ red stitching, it really sets it all off. I think it's around $40. Might as well do it all at once right?
