Hey everyone,

I got the Buschur Racing catback w/bullet muffler in a few days ago and I have been loving it, it is exactly how the EVO should sound. I will post pics and video is a few days to come since I am working all weekend. But the cool part......A friend of mine gave me a hand putting it in and after we got it in, he said, "Hey man, didn't you used to work at an audio shop....lets db this thing compared to my car." So I said alright, I got my db meter out and at the rear spoiler hot idling it is at 98 db, inside the car with windows up idling 76 db. So not to bad I thought. Then he fires up his car, he has a 2002 Camaro with an LS1 with no cats and a chambered muffler. At idle hot at his rear spoiler 92 db and inside his car with windows up 85 db. Also shows you how well the EVO is insulated.

And if you are wondering mine still has the cat and factory downpipe.

EVO X w/Buschur Bullet muffler @ idle 98 db
Camaro LS1 w/no cats & chambered muffler @ idle 92 db

Just some info you fellas might like to see.

No to the test pipe, I think it would be two damn loud for me. I like how it is right now. Maybe a HFC but not at the moment.

damn 98 Db's at idle.....that is up there. I would hate to see WOT db's.

Looks like you are happy though, and that is all that matters.

WOT is not that bad, because it is over 20 db quieter in the car with the windows up. Now for someone on the side of the road, yeah it would be loud.
