Quad Exhaust for the X

Anyone running the quad exhaust on their X? I know COBB tuning has it on their Evo X...Can you guys please post some PICS.

I'm really interested on getting the quads..any feedback on this?

Your inputs would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

quad exhaust is completely unnecessary on the evo X with a 4 cylinder. If you're expecting performance gains from a quad exhaust, you'll be greatly disappointed. The dual exhaust isn't even necessary. It's more important that you have 3" piping and it fits well in place where the stock exhaust was without affecting your ground clearance too much.
If you think quads just look cool, go for it. If you'd like some significant hp gains, I'd suggest going with a dual cat-back with a test pipe and down pipe. Make sure to get a tune though.
I'm currently running on an ETS dual cat-back with the stock cat. I'd highly recommend it.

I don't think he meant quad exhaust as much as he did quad tips. Just get one of the dual exhaust manufacturers to make you one with quad tips. It won't make any more horsepower than any other exhaust though.

I am sure someone whould do it, although it may cost you more as it would be a custom build.

But I know it can be done....I have seen one from a local muffler shop!

I'd like to see some pics as well. Obviously it's just for looks, but I think it looks good on some cars, but have yet to see quad tips on an X. Looks ok on the STI.

Cobb will not be releasing their Quad Tip exhaust for the Evo X. I've looked into and talked with them directly. It's only for looks so I'm sure you can get a local muffler shop to do it or talk to a company with a dual exhaust and ask them to custom fabricate it for you.

We can build a quad tip system for an additional $200.00 on our V2 System. So the price would be $1049.00 for quad tip catback. We already have the unit jigged if anyone is interested send me over a PM! I don't have pics, but if someone wants to get one, I might be able to work out a special deal.

Thanks!

Michael

Robb said in another thread it would be ready at the end of this month. Maybe he can chime in if it's not coming out.

+1 - I hope they do come out with it but I have an e-mail from Dan saying that they're only releasing the Down Pipe and Test Pipe. We'll see I guess - I mean they've had a prototype since May 2008 (at least that's about the time I saw the first pics of it).

I was waiting on the Cobb but ended up getting the ETS version two with a resonator. Best sounding exhaust in my opinion and Micheal at ETS is a great person to deal with.
