gas leak?

i installed my walbro fuel pump 2 weeks ago before my tune. I noticed that my gas mileage got worst. So i assumed that it was me just boosting more because of the tune =) Apparently, when i was putting gas in the other day, i saw gas leaking a little from my car. I was thinking no wonder my car smelled like fuel all the time. Anybody know why this would be happening? Are my hoses loose?

and yes i did a search but i couldnt find anything

You know the walbro is in the tank, and where did you notice the fuel??

I changed my Pump, but never touched anything outside the car to do it. recheck your fittings/hoses, tighten and you should be done with this problemo. Good luck. (Walbros do use/push more fuel, so your mileage per tank will reflect that)

Whatever the cause (assuming it is NOT overfill), you need to stop this leak before you drive any further. Leaking gas is not good!

Later, Ken

Agreed with Ken - get that fixed! You would have to seriously overfill for it to be leaking out and over the top of the tank. The fact that it smells like fuel inside definitely hints at something not re-fit properly. I would guess that if you remove your seat and take a look at things it will be very obvious.

Fuel pumps are relatively straight-forward so just make sure you repeated everything in reverse (mostly, anyway) and that all hoses are on properly, clamps fitted, etc., etc. I wouldn't imagine it would take more than 1/2 hour to nail this (assuming there isn't an actual issue). Best of luck!
