Question Borla Exhaust...does anyone have this?

not much info on this exhaust i personally think its the best looking..as for how it sounds and performs i have no idea...does anyone have this on their X yet? anyone have it on order?

there isnt even any specs on this thing but ill assume its 2.75" since that's the size of the clamps in the installation guide on the borla website

hopefully someone out there has a review of this thing if not then i may be the first

Looks very similar to the Buschur exhaust, I would imagine it would produce a similar sound.

oh yes thats true which reminds me i forget to mention in the first post that it looks like from the borla pic that this exhaust seems to hang just as low as the buschur ...(my car is too low)...need someone to confirm this

Looks generic if you ask me. Some piping and a tip, original.

Generic? For an Evo X exhaust, that design is unique. The only other exhaust I've seen without a muffler can hanging at the back of the car is the Buschur catback, which looks very similar to the Borla. I can't imagine the can sits any higher than the Buschur though, so that could be a problem.

OP: pick one up and let us know how it is! I'd love to hear some sound clips too.

how is it unique? You even mentioned Buschur's CB. If anything it's a copy of the Buschur's...just different tips.

i see that you have the prokit and the buschur... do you have any issues with scraping (the exhaust) ?

Look on the site, it's not polished, the piping looks cheap. I wouldn't buy this.

thanks guys...most likely gonna go with the buschur since it's a full 3" and pretty much the same design..i also notice that the borla pic looks photoshopped to make the exhaust stand out more..im not a fan of false advertising

Yeah, I've scraped the muffler quite a few times. I put a pretty nice dent in it when I hit an exposed manhole cover, but there was no crack. I think I finally got a crack in it after bottoming out recently, so I'll be taking it to the shop soon to probably chop the muffler off or something.

Was this on the original version, or the updated "Quiet" version? It is my understanding that the quiet one has a slightly reduced muffler diameter so it doesn't hang down quite so far.

lol. this was my car as I did the test fitting.

Sounded good, I believe it was only 2.5" piping, 5" tip. I sold it to I think Macky's brother. Overpriced IMO
