Question BOV Fluttering sound???

Im curious guys

I got FORGE Reciculating dump vavle, model number FMDVEVO15 but i get this fluttering sound and the BOV came with 2 diff springs in the box RED and YELLOW, currently the BLUE is inside the BOV. Im pretty sure it has diff spring rate,
could this be the springs thats making the fluttering sound? I dont think I got a leak under the hood, all I hear when driving upon acceleration is the fluttering from the BOV....

When and I change it to stock BOV fluttering is gone.

Opened the BOV seems seals are ok, and greased up ok..

Anyone?

THx!!

my forge bov doesnt flutter but it does blow off very easy under very light boost witch makes it a nightmare to drive on the highway with the cruise set

i think im going to try to put my oem bov back on today and see how it is
i realy dont care about the sound i was running it because i paid for it with my turbo trix hard pipe set

If you are worried about blow back, try the yellow spring and see if you still get flutter.

I have a IX with the stock bov, so I'm not sure how directly my comment compares. With the bolt-ons I have done (everything up to Cosworth cams at this point) + tune it seems that when I am driving 65mph to 70mph in 6th, I am right at the point where boost is really building. Any deviations with accelleration may cause quick, small spouts of blow-off, which sounds like fluttering.

Is your specific scenario occurring at all ranges in rpm? Is it constant? It is interesting to note that others in this thread seem to be experiencing this same issue with this bov. G/L!
