clutch peddle gone again....

I was driving around today not driving hard or anything and the clutch peddle went to the floor during a shift and stayed there.... This is now the second time this has happened. I took it to the dealership the first time and they replaced the slave cylinder, now I have to tow it back and pray they pay to replace it again.... Is anyone else having this problem??? Is there anything else I can do because this is a giant pain in the azzz!!

It's the clutch master cylinder. It's plastic, and when you put in a really heavy pressure plate, it's snaps. Typical mitsu garbage. In any case, why would you want the extreme pressure plate in your car? You don't need the extra clamping load that it has over the heavy duty, plus having a really heavy clutch is tiring in traffic. Get an exedy twin with the SD pressure plate if you want a good, light clutch that will hold lots of torque. My .02...

Yeah actually I complained enough since my stock clutch went so fast and I have gotten several cars from the dealership in the past.. Found out today that they are going to replace it again as well, but said it was the last time they would fix it for me.. Guess I cant complain to much.

Yeah I do have have the x-treme pressure plate from ACT... By swapped you mean you sent your xtreme plate back and they sent you the heavy duty one for nothing??.. And yeah if somebody sells an aftermarket cylinder that would be nice!--let me know if anybody knows of one.

That pisses me off that they would make that part plastic in an Evo of all cars..typical trying to save money from mits i guess.. And I only got it because it was recommended from several people when my stock clutch went awhile back.. Now I'm kinda stuck with the Act clutch now that its all installed and all, cant afford to just get rid of it for a different clutch or I would think about it.

The dealership is replacing the part for me and I'll have the car back thursday...but it just sucks its going to keep happening until I figure out what I'm going to go with to solve the problem.. I'll prob just downgrade the a heavy duty pressure plate if that will work.. Thanks for all the comments and help!!

I'm probably going to go for the Exedy... So there is no aftermarket alternative for the master cylinder? Would the Exedy snap it too?

I have an Exedy twin and the cylinder is alive after ~1000 miles of driving (lots of stop-and-go traffic).
There was a thread about making an aftermarket reaplacement a while back:
