Paranoid episode inducing ticks.

Just got done putting cobb ap and perrin catback on the car, and paranoid episodes kick in. I had the car running and got out and noticed a ticking from the engine bay. I have always noticed a certain tick (which sounded normal), this one was present with the original and sounds much faster, almost electric (if that makes any sense).
Anyways, what im looking for is a guru with these engines that can simply explain what types of ticking noises would be coming from the engine under normal conditions and any that could be from abnormal. I am assuming what im hearing is normal, and im just being a bone head.
The car also runs fantastic, and its not from the parts cooling and contracting. Its while the engine runs only.

If it gets louder as you approach the head of the engine, it's probably lifter tick. It's nothing to cry over, just a nuisance to hear.

My engine ticks loud as hell and it's definitely annoying when the car is idling. It's normal though.

Too load a "tick" and you maybe looking at another issue . We just found out recently we ran 11.9 on a blown motor with bent valves . We got lucky that the valve heads did not break off which would do for a really bad day . We have heard of at least 4 other cars not including ours with this same issue .

Just giving you a heads up .

Thanks for the heads up. It's not audible when I'm inside the car, and it's barely audible when outside the car w/ the hood closed. Once the hood is up is when you notice it, and it just gets annoying.

I'd like to hear my car's idle compared to another X though, just to make sure what I'm hearing is normal.

How did you bend valves? Valve float at too high of an RPM caused piston to valve contact?

Well , not saying this may be the issue but you cannot hear the tick form inside the car , and very little even after you lift the hood .

I feel better that most other people hear it too. And if I go bending engine internals making less than 300 whp, im gonna look for another route.

Is the ticking coming from the fuel injectors? If so it's normal.
