Gee...I wonder what brand oil they are testing against...

Mobile 1 is a great oil, but for those thoroughly concerned with their oil, buy amsoil or use SFR additive to your mobile 1. Like I said, I have not researched Royal Purple well, it may be an excellent alternative as well.
Additive did someone say additive, if you need an addtive for your oil means you need to get a better oil, i am not sure you even have to do that with mobil1 is a pretty decent oil, however in some cases castrol GTX will beat mobil hands down.

Castrol GTX is great stuff, been running it in my race car for years. 23psi on a V1 blower... it's good stuff.

Carlos
they had that same kinda test at a local shop a few days ago. same EXACT machine.

It was a schaffer oil salesman that would let you hands on do the experiment.

he was comaparing whatever oil you brought in and compared it to Schaffer 20w-50 oil

the schaffer oil really did perform well. actually I couldnt even put enough pressure on the handle to stop the machine from rotating against the metal bearing (I could with every other oil tested).

I even brought in some AMSOIL 20w-50 in since thats what I used in my car. It did perform well, but not as well as the schaffer oil

BUT, who knows if that is all there is to oil? I mean there is probably a lot more to oil than what this test might show. what I mean is maybe a oil could perform awesome in this test but still not be the best oil to put in your engine....

ALSO, who knows if the oil the salesperson was using was 100% schaffer oil with no additives???

all that being said, I'm still using my AMSOIL as of now. this test did bring up some good questions though...
