i dont understand why the dealer wants that much money. that should be covered under your powertrain warranty. or is it slipping just because its so worn and torn down?

^Not sure if they are an approved vendor here or not, and it is to hard to check from my blackjack. Mods do not take kindly to posting up links to non approved vendors on forums.

Im sure to a certain point the oil will start dripping off the bottem tray, and on to the ground. But that point would be a while though..

well if there is an oil leak the dealer should cover it no? but if the clutch is slipping just cuz its worn out from too many miles or just worn down from everyday driving then they wouldnt. but al oil leak should be covered under powertrain

Well i'll try and get it lifted up this weekend to look under and see if we can see an oil leak. I've not noticed anything on the ground and I know the dealer only test drove it. The dealer also told me (which I believe nothing they tell me) a guy ungraded his clutch from OEM and it destroyed his tranny. Now I see they have the exedy HD for the same price http://www.optionsauto.com/products....t_on=&sort_by=
I don't need that one correct? The only thing I want to do down the road is add an AP so could I even go with a stage 1 or would you advise the stage 2?

I think it's sh*tty that the clutch isn't covered under powertrain and only a 12 mo 12k mile basic warrenty. But then again thats Mitsu.

i'm not sure, you should just be able to call and ask them how much it can handle.

Dont change to an aftermarket clutch unless you take care of that clutch slave cylinder issue. I put just a stage 2 Exedy clutch in mine and after just 30 or so miles. My slave cylinder gave out left me stranded on the freeway for an hour..

What did you end up doing to fix that?

Did you get the AMS band?

when my clutch went and i took it to the stealership the first words out of his mouth was we will check the seals for leak on the clutch... so that clearly is an issue with the GSR... they will check if its a seal for free or they should... since it IS covered under warranty.... but if it is the clutch it is NOT covered... mitsu knows they put a crappy clutch in and wont cover it....hope all goes well
