Turbo back exhausts?

I've done about 2 days of searching and have looked a lot of options but haven't seen many opinions regarding my situation. basically I just bought a used (2000 miles) evo x mr and am looking at doing some simple mods. I don't want to go too big, mostly because of the tranny and because I dd it a lot. I've already got a Cobbs AP and SFI ordered which should be here this week. My question is, with this setup, what turboback exhausts have ppl here used?

Ideally I'd like something that produces a decent amount of power, is quiet (not into the noise) and looks stock or close to stock (don't like the coffee-can look when you can see the muffler when driving behind the car).

It seems like there are so many options out there my head is going to explode...

Im leaning towards Blitz nur spec r catback for my MR along with an Invidia all in one downpipe/testpipe. But thats just me. Check out the sticky at the top of the page for lots of sound clips in the official exhaust thread. Sounds pure sex to me http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fx0dvuIuehc

Yea I hear you, I was pretty going through the same thing.

If you want quite dont go for a single exit exhaust, go for the dual exhausts. T1R is probably the quiestest exhaust that is under 1K, the blitz series is really great too but more expensive.

So far I'm think AMS downpipe + AMS high flow cat + Blitz nur spec R for road use, might get the Invidia downpipe/test pipe for track use later on....

The AMS downpipe is sick but I believe its currently on backorder. One of the vendors on this site might be able to help you out there

In my opinion and experience, the Ultimate racing o2 housing eliminator downpipe with test pipes is the best selling front section and most popular. It eliminates the O2 Housing just like the AMS unit does, and directly bolts to the turbo.

The AMS is very very nice but on current backorder for 5 weeks I believe it is at right now? Correct me if I am wrong.

As far as a Cat-back the Invidia q300 looks to be a very very promising unit and have sold about 4-5 of these already and the customers were very happy. One of my customers should be posting up a video and feedback here very soon.

Whichever route you decide to go we would be happy to help We can offer the absolute best pricing on Invidia if you decide to go that route, but we can get AMS, Blitz, T1R, Ultimate Racing as well! I wish I could give you more insight on the noise factor, but it sounds like the guys here are going to be better suited to make recommendations in that regard. We look forward to hearing from you!
