I have the ETS and it sounds and looks great. They now offer a TB system for a little cheaper.I bought the CB,TP and DP before they had this available.Just go to youtube for sound clips or pm me and I will send you one.It is a little load but they do offer resonators for their exhaust. Also if you are military they offer a military discountSaved me alot of money since I got the exhaust,4" FMIC,UICP,LICP all at once.

Way to put us in the back Adam!! We offer a complete turbo back exhaust system including the o2/downpipe eliminator (recirc or atmosphere dump), test pipe with check engine light fix and v2 catback with a sound that fits the evo perfect!

If you have any questions, let me know!

Thanks,

Michael

My question is, with this setup, what turboback exhausts have ppl here used?

Ideally I'd like something that produces a decent amount of power, is quiet (not into the noise) and looks stock or close to stock (don't like the coffee-can look when you can see the muffler when driving behind the car).

It seems like there are so many options out there my head is going to explode...
Check out T1R

I got the ETS with larger merge pipe (dual v1) and the Ultimate Racing o2/downpipe and UR high flow metal Cat.

The thing is awesome cool. The UR stuff really un-locks the nasty turbulence from the turbo. You can see the sharp angles the OEM housing forces the hottest, fastest moving and most turbulent flow conditions into. It stinks. The UR cat weighs probably 1/2 of the stock one. Its legal and it is SO wide open still. Rocks.

The ETS duals are throaty and rich sounding. They look so very stock but still have that "not quite, what did you do to it?" look too.

Noise is VERY much louder under load. Under load means that our Evo's are getting 5mpg or something stupid (glad we didn't pay gas guzzler taxes LOL).

Noise at idle is probably twice what it was. Maybe three times. But 10 times zero is zero. The stock thing was too quiet to even run well at a loud track against anyone else's V8.

Noise at cruising speed is only 1/4 or 1/2 again as loud as stock. Really not that much louder at all, nothing at all with the RF turned up. But when you stomp on the gas, at 1mph, 20 mph, 60mph, any RPM, the girl gets LOUD.

Power increase is crazy. Lower RPM's before boost, maybe 700-800 lower when it starts to spool. About the same spool rate, a bit faster. But a bunch more torque from 2500-6000 rpms. Definitely gives the car an edge over stock.

p.s. I can't sneak into the driveway very easily anymore. Oh well. I had to give up social drinking when I decided to buy and drive an Evo for a daily driver.

This may not be a question you can answer, and I'll respect that because it may be somewhat subjective....

In your oppinion, how much of the difference in sales between the AMS down pipe and the Ultimate Racing downpipe is attributable to price, versus attributable to performance, or other factors? (I think the price difference is close to $80)

I am in a similar boat as the original poster....as in sitting here with credit card in hand...only having difficulty deciding who to throw money at....

I agree! The stock exhaust on the Evo X is way to quite for me. I'm not sure if we had this available or not when you purchased the exhaust system.

ETS O2 Downpipe (Recirculated or Dump) - $440.00 w/ lifetime warranty.

Do you happen to have any pictures of your setup? I think we are going to revise the v1 and bring it back to the market!

Thanks,

Michael

Well, I'm not sure on the cat-back section, but ordered the UR dp and metal hfc. Now looking at ETS, Blitz, T1R and Specialty X (carbon fiber). The T1R looks good but when i got a price for it it was pretty much in-line with the blitz and carbon fiber specialty x. Maybe it's me but when people here said it was a cheaper option I was expecting a little more than $100 less?
