2.5 Requires sleeving and I'll wait til it blow it the next time for that

That's my plan too, lol. As far as I can tell though, the stock sleeves are pretty beast. Neither buschur or ETS sleeves their 2.0L motors and I don't think I will be making 800whp anytime soon, lol.

How big is the stroke? 98mm?

Just so you guys know, most all these big cranks are made in the same place

^I was wondering when you'd chime in, DRAG. ERL is a 97mm stroke. I know you're not a fan of stroking the 4B11. I was mostly under the impression that that was because there were some nice high revving turbos out there like the HTA 3586. So for those of us who want to run a stock frame turbo for low-end, say with <8,000RPM redline, will stroker reliability be a problem (with the turbo near maxed on E85)?

97 and 98mm strokes aren't horrible in a 9.055" block. In the past I was more referencing the larger 102mm and up strokes in the 4G63. That 5mm extra is a lot and is hard on bearings for a regularly driven car.

I'm looking for a reliable daily driver build with more grunt down low. I am considering a 2.3 stroker with the stock turbo for now and eventually green or bbx. What's the guesstimate of gains from just the 2.3 with bolt ons? I want to make sure the bang for the buck is there.

You probably won't see any peak hp gains since the turbo is simply out of steam. In fact you will probably see an even ****tier top end.

Right but I should see a noticeable difference in the bottom end correct? Then when I do upgrade to a larger turbo the spool time should be quicker I assume. My goal is to gain more bottom end power and decrease the spool up time of a larger stock frame turbo so it's not as laggy.

Well sure, but the stock turbo will seriously be so boring on a 2.3L because of the top end, it will die at like 5500 and you will want to shift. It will feel like a V8 though, lol.
