Best Mod's/Parts Out There
Best Mod's/Parts Out There
Hey Guys and Gals,
I have been looking into the different parst and mods out there and trying to find some reviews on different set-ups and parts. I thought I would set up a thread asking the following:
What is the best mod you have done to date: including part and brand, price, where you got it, why you feel it was the best mod you have done. The more information the better. Let's try to keep with informative not a debate if possible.
Cheers,

tune, especially if you are running a stock car. but if you plan on buying more mods, id wait for the tune after you are done with most of them. ex: exhaust, intake, intercooler + piping
A tune will net the most power for the money, hands down. That being said, if you plan to add bolt-ons, wait until they are all installed and then get a tune, so you don't waste money on a re-tune.
It's hard to pick any one part and say it was the "best" one I got. They all help the car perform better and they all complement one another. The bolt-ons that you'll want are a full turboback exhaust (O2 housing, test pipe or high flow cat, and catback - a downpipe alone will not net any power gain), intake or drop-in filter, and UICP. A LICP won't add any power, and a FMIC will likely not add enough power to warrant its price tag, but many opt for one anyway.
I'd also recommend an alignment as one of your first "mods." A set of decent coil overs will get rid of the ugly wheel gap and help the car handle better as well.
As for brands, its really personal preference. I've always preferred the American-made parts from AMS, Buschur, ETS, etc over JDM parts, but that's for you to decide.
Happy modding

Figure out your goals and your budget first, then make a smart plan to achieve that goal by researching.
Best power increase = turbo upgrade
Best overall mod = tune (driveability)
Fun factor = 3" cutout + Kelford Cams (sounds like a 69 chevelle haha)
