AMS Twin Tip Review
i think it definitely sounds better in person but as i said earlier this is with no plate what so ever. traveling through the muffler will probably change the tone down and make it not as raspy. IMO, it sounds much better not through my sisters pos camera. I am probably going to try out some of the plates and see how i like it. I have heard several people say they like the tone better with a plate in it. (minimal performance loss according to edmunds too
This video is actually on a camera phone but is a much truer representation of the sound imo. This is a more accurate recording. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eIPxu...e=channel_page
it really does. Some people are saying they don't like it after listening to the first video, but it doesnt do it justice. I would recommend it. This is one of the several sounds/tones that can be achieved with this exhaust just by changing the plates.

Thanks for the video review! There are barely any online to watch! I can't wait to get this exhaust.
I haven't tried the fully-open passenger side case, but I can confirm the exhaust sounds nothing like that first video with the small diameter plate installed. It's just a bit louder than stock with a nice idle rumble and a great rev'd-up roar that's not raspy or harsh.
I think I have a bit of an install problem on mine somewhere since I'm getting a weird high-frequency noise (I have a post on the AMS forum asking for help), so I'm going to assume it's not normal for now. Assuming that, if you ignore the weird chirping from this video I made it seems to get the sound down a little better:

Edit: I just realized bwagner is using a test pipe, and mine's bolted to the stock cat, so that will change things pretty significantly.
