Hks super reloaded suction kit!! UPDATE with Video

JDM names

I had this installed last Friday but I finally got to taking some pics of it. Its a wonderful looking piece. Powerband seems alot smoother and the sound of the turbo spool and blowoff is so evident now. I might make a video.

UPDATE
Heres a video I shot on the way to work.
HKS Intake Vid

^^^its completely different then the ams one dude. keeps all stock tubing for the stock blowoff. the ams one relocates it to the front. the suction kit also uses their own filter that seems to flow alot better then most normal cone type. also the hks piece seems to keep the maf in the factory location.

It's a good filter for air flow and sound. I have had it on mine since 04. Bad news is you are supposed to replace the filter every 5k each filter is about $25 and is not cleanable. I have ran mine up to 10k before replacing. Also every couple of filter changes I find I have to clean the MAF sensor as well. Other than that love the sound of the air intake.

I'd dump that filter and get an AEM dryflow or K&N or the like... those filters are horrible, just like the Greddy filters.

Check out this article - http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/filters_test/2/

It shows the filter results of some popular filters...

That test isn't necessarily accurate on the filtration part. HKS offers two types of filters. Wet Dual layer ones for wet climates which have very little dust due to it. and Dry Triple Layer ones that are for dry dusty areas. Their websites even states that you should use the dry triple layer filter in dusty areas. and guess which one they used in that test, a Wet filter.

and UPDATE VIdeo is up

The AMS keeps the MAF in the same place as well. With better flow you generally filter less given the same surface area so it's a give and take.

I have the AMS Performance Intake that reroutes the K&N filter to the front bumper cover.

Everyone talking about wanting to hear more turbo spool - you can't hear the spool past about 4500rpm so no point.
