Thoughts on a Transfer Case Fluid Change at 15K?
I'm getting my 15K service done next week and the Tech reccomended a Transfer Case Fluid Change on top of the normal 15K service. Whats your thoughts on this guys? Just wanted to get opinions before I decided to do or not do this. Let me know.
i changed the fluids in my 8 every 9k (tranny and front and rear diff)
so far ive done it every 15k in the x (about to do the 3rd)
i suggest doing it. youll love the way it feels when the fluids are fresh

been a while since ive checked, but i think recommended intervals from mitsu are 30k, i could very well be wrong. HOWEVER... if you race the car, drive the car hard (if you dont, why did u buy an evo, lol), do it at 15k. i autocross my 8, and do the diff/transmission/xfer case fluids every 15k. i could do it myself, but i work at the dealer so its VERY convenient for me to have it done while im at work. coolant, tune up, tbelt, all fluids, etc will all be done in about 7k more miles (dreading the svc bill).
^^^...i agree what he said, i replace my entire drivetrain fluids at 15k. You will see the difference!!! funny thing tho, my tc oil was black and totally beat.
