Thoughts on a Transfer Case Fluid Change at 15K?

I'm getting my 15K service done next week and the Tech reccomended a Transfer Case Fluid Change on top of the normal 15K service. Whats your thoughts on this guys? Just wanted to get opinions before I decided to do or not do this. Let me know.

How much do they say it would cost?

I probably would, but other people would probably know better.

Changing fluids doens't hurt ( but it hurts your wallet) If you drive hard and tech recommends it, go for it.

You should change your drivelines at 15k miles for any AWD vehicle. Do it yourself and save big time $$$.

been a while since ive checked, but i think recommended intervals from mitsu are 30k, i could very well be wrong. HOWEVER... if you race the car, drive the car hard (if you dont, why did u buy an evo, lol), do it at 15k. i autocross my 8, and do the diff/transmission/xfer case fluids every 15k. i could do it myself, but i work at the dealer so its VERY convenient for me to have it done while im at work. coolant, tune up, tbelt, all fluids, etc will all be done in about 7k more miles (dreading the svc bill).

Do it, the stock fluid is nasty and stinks. You'll be surprised on how much shavings you'll find on the drain plugs.

I say do it. I did my tranny with Amsoil MTG at 1000 miles, and waiting till 10-15k to change my transfer cases with some Amsoil Severe gear oil.

I agree on changing it. The heat the fluids endure is tremendous, especially if you drift the car for long periods of time (winter)...

I did my trans, transfer case and diff at 10k. It was under 300 bucks, so cheap insurance imo.
