Can't wait to have this same setup. I have half of it sitting in my Bedroom. Still need to order the cams and the turbo.

Are you getting rid of the Perrin and Nisei parts?

All parts are not created equal. Just having the same list doesn't get the same results. Good luck though.

yes, but some of us dont care about the 1/4 mile...at all.

i just want the car to be as fast as possible on the track.

So whatever turbo will give the best power and reliability around the track

Is it really SO bad to have to shift into 5th at the 1/4? Why not just shift at like 7800 and ride out 5th?

You can shift to 5th if you don't care about the ET's being off a bit, true. I always think of doing the best I can, not close to the best that I can.

The car just simply overheated it seems on the track. Car seems to be fine since then.

How aggressive is this map and how much boost are you running on this? I have similar set up and openscource tune. I know parts make a difference, but Im sure I couldntget close to 122s especialy with me driving.

As in Buschur's is available? I know Shep is almost there. Honestly, there is more involved to this than a turbo upgrade, so you have to expect that it's not cheap. I mean pulling the tranny alone and sending it to be rebuilt isn't cheap. You will probably want the pins upgraded and possibly the diff replaced if it's already damaged. Then factor in one-off specially made gearing. I would expect it to cost more than a turbo.

I tried both running my car hard in 4th to 116mph and shifting at 7800 to 5th and my ET and MPH improved going to 5th. You don't lose much ET shifting to 5th because you are rolling 120mph and covering a lot of ground during that .3 you are changing gears. It isn't equal to the ET lost when changing gears in the first part of the track.

I could understand not wanting to go to 5th with a big turbo car for sure. I had to go to 5th on a 2.3L 35R car and it fell on its face after that gear change. I was just as well off just coasting after 4th was up LOL
