Installed Custom made 3" Aluminum Exhaust

Installed a custom made straight through 3" aluminum exhaust. Weight of exhaust is a puny 7 lbs. Sounds really loud and mean, but personally tolerable. Here's some pics...

Why did you go with aluminum. That will be so loud with a testpipe... which would yield more benefit than the CBE.

Nice work. I've wondered why we don't see more aluminum exhausts considering the weight advantage.

Durability is most likely a concern

Aluminum expands with heat that high.

Very nice! I've been running a 4" aluminum exhaust on my car (not an evoX) for about a year now, I made an aluminum canister that brought the dB's down a bit as well. Gotta love an exhaust that weighs less than 10 lbs!

heat wont be a problem since its far away from turbo.the turbo absorbs most of the heat.i would do it from with a steel downpipe and the rest aluminum.
