clutch problems

I have 2008 evo and i am pissed. Clutch is sticking at the top of the range. I know i am not crazy but the dealer who i dropped off the car at 8:00am bye 3:00pm he finely pulled the car in. what a dick on top of that tells me the clutch is fine and charge me 100 dollars for nothing. I will most likely be back with same probklem, but the clutch i will have to pay for. I was going to keep the car after the lease but after this my cars going back. Any ideas Plus the banging noise after i switch gears

make sure you take it in 3 times and have documentation saying what they did or didn't do to it. They are probably trying to get you past the 18k mark to void any lemon law warrenty you could have. BTW how many miles? Clutch is only warrentied fro 12k.

On sat with a rattle in the exaust and a knock everytime i swich gears. anyway tom the manager refused to work on my car. I am so pissed off. I have to bring my car to queens to get work on. The dealer has the right to refuse to work on your car. Has this happened to anyone else?

I say screw the dealership.

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...riences-x.html

If you can afford to, do all of the above, or atleast the clutch and MC. Its a nice car that is sold really cheap and the reason its cheap is because they cheap out on everything. Even if you get warranty service, you'll most likely face the problem again. I've had my share of ****ty experiences with the Mits Dealerships and have realized its time to move on. If you definitely don't want to mod, then I agree, its time you looked for a different company/car altogether. I for one have completely stopped going to the dealership. Period. I have decided I will only take the car to good aftermarket shops. Trust me, the dealerships are not worth the trouble.

In that link above, read what I wrote about the motor mount. How dangerous is that!!!

Funny thing is they don't need a reason. I was told by the manager Tom is have the right to refuse to work on your car and told me to leave. all dealers are independent.

Catalyst god- you are 100% right. I took such good care of my car it would be a shame to hand it in when the lease is up.

Don't worry about it man. I spent several sleepless nights feeling cheated. I love the Evo so much and when when these ****-holes treat the customers of their most expensive model like ****, it really bothers us a lot. Its normal don't worry. Eventually though, I realized this was my excuse to start modifying my X to my liking and make it more reliable. Its like a project. Ever since I started last year, I've already spent like 10K. And that's nothing compared to what some of the others have. Its about having fun, isn't that why we buy these cars in the first place. Don't worry, its a passing phase and you'll be feeling awesome in no time once you start improving it and driving it again.

PS: I love working on my evo. I just don't do the really hard stuff like the thread I posted earlier. Its an infinitely enjoyable experience. You almost start associating your identity with it more and more as you get into it.

cars all better needed a muffler, still have knocking sound when changing gears. not a loud noise maybe a bushing, something loose. the cluch -just air in the line. The dealers service sucks. This new one garden in hempsted is ok but Island and wantagh suck.
