I want to ask the people who had already install this. I didnt put back the METAL heat shield nex to the stud (one that has a nut in it). This is the one thats not visable from the engine bay. Is there a problem for not reinstalling it?

 

Anyone? i really need to know, cause i migth have to take the dp off to reinstalled it.

 

We don't put it on. Just the big ol upper heat shield.

big shield on the intake manifold, the shield near the 02 housing, than one thats make of really heavy metal that shapes like a T(kinda lol).about 8 inches long and sticks out 3 inhes in the middle. Thats the one i didnt put back. so its ok? How many shields did you guys took out that wasnt installed?

 

I would personally put back any hit shield that fits..... Think of it this way, that big metal heavy one is not cheap to make at all, not to mention it's heavy. So Mitsu just made the car heavier and more expensive, two things you don't want in a car. So it's definitely there for a reason.

Did you get the downpipe coated? If so.... it maybe be okay. All my opinion of course.
