I'm looking for a quiet sport catback system. I currently have Ultimate-Racing Dual Exit on my EVO X. But I find it very loud. Specially cause my wife drives the car sometimes. any of you recommend something quieter?

the blitz nur spec r seems pretty quiet from sound clips but i kno it costs a pretty penny

what are you looking for? something quiet would be AMS, cobb, T1R...etc. Lots of clips on youtube as well.

T1R 76S seems to be the most popular choice for a quiet exhaust. Everyone who owns it says it's barely louder than stock (if at all). The new Buschur cross flow has also been held in high praise for being quiet.

 

I've heard tons of exhausts and the 3 quietest out of all those are the HKS, T1R, MXP

Have not got a chance to hear the new quiet version of Buschur's yet though!

Thanks for the review and pics. I was going to buy this exhaust regardless but after reading your few paragraphs I was practically stroking my credit card.

 

This is the system im going with It looks super aggresive from behind! So Sexy =D

 

I say T1R cause I have one, my other choice would be MXP, then BR Crossflow.

 

Hybrid R just got a shipment of the the T1R 76S in last week. I have been waiting for mine for 2 months. It arrives tomorrow via UPS. Should have it on over the weekend but will add a 100 cell cat later. I wanted to start with something fairly quiet since the 100 cell cat should make it slightly louder than the OEM cat.

 

The T1R slightly loudens up after a month or so. It's pretty darn quiet when youfirst bolt it up. But it never gets really loud or annoying after about 3-4k with the exhaust on. I love it, just loud enough for me.

 

I have the greddy ti-c and it is very very quiet, plus it comes with an optional silencer.. I think the single exhaust looks great on the x.

 

so we know of the quiet ones and then there are the loud ones.... what about medium? =)
