Shop for Clutch Install
looking to replace my stock clutch with the ACT HDSS. Burned the stock at 30k.
looking to save some money but installing it myself isnt an option. got my clutch at a really awesome price but now need a shop to put it in and not catch me with my pants down(no pun intended)
i've talked to AMS and Strictly Modified any other suggestions??

I got my ACT HDSS put in at 20K locally at TurboTrix in NJ. They charge a flat rate of $600 and did a real solid install.
Any place with good clutch swap experience should charge around the $600 mark - it's about a days work give or take. Too much more or less than that and it's likely they don't know what they're doing. These kits are really good - just make sure you get a good install.
As a comparo - the dealership were asking $1100, NOT including parts (!).

Evo clutch jobs is a very very lenghty process, however given our experince with evos we have been able to master the clutch job and have it done in one work day. I have had customers bring their car in at 10:00 am and have them back on the road by 4:30 with NO problems. We have a clutch job special in the midwest region that states "If the clutch job is not done by the end of our work day(5:30 pm) the clutch job is on us!".
Evonine9 - We dont underquote the job because "we dont know what we are doing" We simply like to help the evo community given our tought times. If you have any questions feel free to PM me I would be glad to answer any questions you may have.

I appreciate knowing this ballpark number...I'm sure I'll want an upgrade down the road.
