need retune after switching from straight tp to res/catted one??

as title says do i need retune my car after switch to more restrictive tp??

yeah that's what i tought, i have to put resonated tp b/c cannot stand drone any more. it's even worse with windows up , and winter is coming..

Uhhhh. Not really. In fact I wouldn't be suprised if nothing changed at all. the AFR might change a tiny bit, but as far as REQUIRING a retune I highly doubt it. Maybe some tuner can chime in.

^ that. wont be that big of a change but to get the best gains or in your case goin backwards in your gains a tune would be better.

You don't need a tune at all. As far as the exhaust is concerned, you're going from a straight pipe to a straight pipe. Resonators are straight through. All you're doing is quieting the exhaust tone, not adding any restriction whatsoever.

Even if you were swapping to a high flow cat, they flow enough that there isn't a significant restriction which would require a retune.

This is probably pretty accurate. I don't think the resonation would change the flow a whole lot.

Resonation doesn't change the flow at all. There's nothing inside a resonator that protrudes into the exhaust stream. It's a straight pipe.

Straight through, no restriction, just a quieter tone afterwards

thanks guys!!! that's good news spoke with my tuner and he confirms that too. have to get resonated tp at least just for winter , drone with closed windows during highway cruise is CRAZY!!! hope that resonated tp gonna help me.

yeah i put res tp about one month ago, it's way better less vibrations and drone. thinking about put one more actually.
