Today I got the email stating that it had shipped, but no tracking # yet. I wouldn't mind sending it to Cosworth if the want to inspect it.

What would you say Cosworth??
We'll gladly take a look. We have the rails produced here in house, the anodizing is done locally as well in Southern California. If it is true that these are made in Taiwan, then I can guarantee they are copies.

The only other possibility is that this is one of our dealers in Asia selling under another name, or these folks have purchased the rails from one of our dealers. However that would not explain the low sale price.

We are still investigating and will see what are options are with eBay.

Thank you

You mean this reply from the seller, "hi,my friend,i am fine, thanks ,i hope u are also fine, the item is made from taiwan.many tks
regards" isn't enough to quell any doubts about the item's legitimacy? 99% sure it's a knockoff.

Maybe. A lot of grey market is the real thing but it was produced without the intellectual property owner's consent (e.g. the factory did one run more than was required for a job and then resold the extras). They'd write it down as a defective part that was destroyed but it was instead sold.

You are correct, grey market is usually the real deal, it's just not acquired through the dealers that are in place. That is usually why the warranties are not honored on grey market items as the US distributor doesn't want to pay the cost on a part they did not profit on.

However our rails are made in house. They are machined here in Torrance, anodized locally in Southern California, and then inspected and kitted by our staff. The chance of these rails being legit are slim to none.

Thank you

Hmmm this is all kinds of F'ed up!!! Something does not add up right. What is Ebay telling you guys. I mean this could hurt your name and your P/L. I would not buy it till Cosworth looks into the matter more.
