Injen UICP piping diameter?

The Injen UICP pipe seems to have a step down when going towards the turbo. Is this step down the same size as most UICPs or smaller? I'm wondering if the fat part is oversized on it. Does this restriction act as a potential bottleneck?

The injen reduces down to less then 1.8" diameter about 1/2 down the pipe. This is a huge restrictions. We offer a complete 2.5" upper intercooler pipe with a funnel transition silicone for smooth flow on the turbo outlet.

Well its a step up because flow comes from the turbo. It uses the stock sized outlet on the turbo and goes bigger. Im not sure on the diameter of the Injen but remember you cant go too big due to hood clearance.
