I just got a new intake (K&N Typhoon) and was about to install it. I noticed that the picture of the car they used had an L shape connector coming off the motor and mine on the 2010 looked straight. Has this changed between 2008 and 2010? Also, my assumption was that an intake for a 2008 would work on a 2010. Did I assume right?

 

I just went and pulled it off and it is different than the 08s. It seems the 08's have some sort of l connector coming off the block and the 10's have a straight connector coming off that is fatter. Anyone have an idea on why they would do this?

 

Just a guess but maybe it has something to do with the valve cover being plastic on the 2010. Cheaper, maybe more universal. Heck you just never know.

 

The crank case vent also seems to be plastic where it looks metal on the 08s I'll take pictures later (though it could be just painted). It seems odd for them to make these minor changes.
