i have the ETS 4inch and I do not feel a difference in spool up time.....if there is any difference, it is very minimal and i can't feel it....

the ETS is a great quality FMIC and you can't go wrong with the install...bolts right on and even though the clearance is very tight, it will bolt on with no hassles

This speak of decreased boost response is hearsay. If there is a negative effect on boost response it's negligible.

Well, I was set to order the 4.0", but ETS is out of the 4.0". Talked to Mike at ETS, and he says the 3.5" is enough for the goals I have for the car. 3.5" has been ordered. Thanks for all the input everyone

I`m running ARC I/C (stock size) with my turbo upgrade. Excellent spool and response with no pressure drop.

3.5 inch is still a great upgrade.....if you have a chance to go 4 inch from stock....i'd say go for it....but since you don't have a chance (out of stock) then 3.5 inch is nothing wrong...great choice on the ETS!

good luck and you'll feel some nice gains!

hi, what of fitment issues when combining with aftermarket radiators? would be important if you track...

for those that track their cars and have upgrading cooling, can you still fit the radiators out there with a 4" IC? i didn't look down there carefully--is there another unit between the IC and the radiator? i think i feel more comfortable going with the ams 3.5" cause they use them in their race cars, and thus they gotta fit right with other race-type equipment.

Dang, is the UR FMIC for $935 really a 4.5"???? With UICP? Wow.

I'm thinking about the AMS route, as they're probably my tuner of choice due to distance and reputation. But they're only selling a 3.5" core. Guess I'll wait to hear how the UR unit fares, might let AMS tune me with my UR bolt ons :-)

Our customers like the 4" on their cars, it keeps it cool and the spool loss is minimal like others have said, it's also great that the Evo X provides so much room that it makes it a direct bolt-on. We have ONE 4" kit that's on special right now if anyone is interested pm me for details. Btw we have been able to run a little more peak boost on pump gas with this IC combination.

Thanks,

Chris@ASAP
