Evo X guys looking for a hiflo cat, don't waste your time with anything but this, it is the best performing one available, hands down.

So how close is this performance wise to running a test pipe?

As close as you're going to get. There is an old thread around here where GST did a comparo on an Evo 8 or 9. It was like 5hp and 13tq IIRC. But that's just off the top of my head.

What's the story. It looks like it has been painted? Is it ceramic coated?

From what I was told, it was bead blasted. The part is still at the fabricator...I have not seen it in the flesh yet.

At that point I would just go test pipe, its flows so good it will smell like you dont have one and it blocks enough to say why bother, my 2 cents

Even 300 cell cats smell at times. I'm not sure why people buy 100's...they can't be doing much.

This one looks good, tho.

I am not sure which 300 cells you're talking about, but many of the metal cats sold on this forum are Chinese cores. These are American made cats with high quality PGM coatings.

People buy 100 cell cats because they flow the most while still cleaning your exhaust. It certainly smells nothing like a test pipe. My cat has been going strong for over 3 years now. The Redline TA guys swear by these.

Will it bolt up to factory DP and exhaust? If so, this will be my new high flow cat.

I only see 1 bung for the OEM O2 sensor. Is there an additional bung for a aftermarket UEGO O2 sensor?

We leave that option open for the end user. That way they can decide which location is most convenient for them. Last time I checked, it was a 10 minute and inexpensive job at a muffler shop.

Erik @ Mil.Spec saves the day for me! I had heard the mil.spec cats were the best to get, but wasn't sure if they would be available in time for my 'deadline'. Having absolutely no luck in finding any of the turbo xs 100cell HFCs in stock anywhere, I contacted Erik, who was kind enough to rush me an order for the new bolt-on mil.spec HFC. Thanks again, Erik!
