^nah.. Mitsu's service has always sucked. I owned a stock 8 and had problems, I was still under warranty and got no help. Even for a minor rust spot they would not help me out.

More than likely they wouldn't help you out before because of all the people racing their cars on tracks, running lots of mods etc etc and then trying to warranty ****. They got sick of getting raped.

Pay to play...sorry man you won't get much love from most people on here. We accept that **** can hit the fan and you will have to make sacrifices if something goes wrong.

and you think after owning a 8 that Mitsu is any better on the X?!

no money but yet you owned a 30k car with mods?! You my friend are either driving(living) way outside your means or you just don't have 1 bill.

So you do your own tuning as well?

it actually sounds cheaper to just pay the repair bill.... then to take all that off and back on, go get it flashed to stock then re install everything and then go get it tuned again.

It took me 3 weeks to blow my warranty - i was just PRO active

after I got to the 400 whp i sent my tranny and t-case to shep for his treatments... after that, I took it to AMS for a 2.3 and bumped it up to 500whp

who needs warranty, they never cover it anyways

The Red looks completely stock on the outside. Only a trained eye would be able to pick it up. They would probably complain about your 3-port more.

If you drove your Evo off the lot, then you lost your warranty...

lol yeah true. Im prepared to pay for consequenses if things dont work out but figure its worth a shot.

I dont think they have gotten better from 8 to X but I was hoping.

So back to the OP Im guessing no ones tried or had to bother with that scenario. So no biggie. Im still goin FP.

As of today I went with the green. I was talking with a few members and for the sale price it was a great deal. And I DD mine so I was told its a little nice for DD purposes.

What about the DD part of it convinced you to go with the Green vs. the FP Red? I thought the Red spooled faster in the low end vs. the Green?

Less boost creep is what I figured. Everyone was recomending Green for street on EvoX. I spoke with one of the guys at FP and they said that was a great way to go for light drag mainly a street car.

green spools faster, red has more to offer up top, but spools around 800 revs later. in my opinion red takes the cake, its so much fun and its the better set up if in the future you change you mind. and do mod like cams + springs. as this turbo reeally likes the higher rpms.

For a little more $$$, you can get a stock location GT3076 BB and it would destroy any FP grn/red. And it also looks stock as well..

wrong, the FP turbos have far outperformed the Garrett's. The Garrett turbo's for the X have failed everyone, Hiboost is the only person to get it to perform and he has spend a lot of hours doing so.

I have to agree with what is being said about the warranty. Although the peace of mind is nice, the moment I put on my FP Red, I knew there was no going back and my warranty was out the window. I figure I will just Pay to fix a major issue, or fix it myself. I usualy take my car to AMS or Forged Performance and get my tuning done there. If I need anything replaced, I can take a look at the cost and weigh my options with the technical expertise needed to change the part out.
