I don't know, but I do know it's only 405hp at crank or around 350 to the wheels. Any 8 turbo can have the same power as the FQ400, fq400 ftl

My best guess is that it's similar to the Blouch Dominator 2.5 that supported ~475 crank HP or 47 lb/min compressor flow with some sort of low friction or ball bearing center section. At most as big as the FP Green or Dominator 2.0 but there is no way to get torque peak to hit at 3500 with anything larger without some additional aids such as E85 and/or Meth injection.

In keeping with its NSFW nomenclature, the FQ400 is putting out 403 hp at 6,500 rpm, with peak torque – 387 lb-ft of the stuff – arriving at an oh-so-usable 3,500 rpm. The extra grunt is thanks to a set of high-flow fuel injectors and a new turbo with low friction bearings, an uprated thrust bearing and high temperature turbine that Mitsubishi insists will keep turbo lag at bay.
The only other way to find out would be to actually measure the specs of the turbo off someone's FQ400 that was upgrading so it may be a long time unless we get extremely lucky.

I would also like to get my hands on the ECU tune, mainly to check if they tweaked the stock MIVEC settings to get the spool and low end torque dialed in so well. Knowing what kind of boost curve they are using would also be super helpfull, heck a dyno plot with all that info would shed quite a bit more light on the package!

I tried last year to get this info out of WRC Developments here in NZ. The guys who own/run that used to work at pro-drive in the UK. They were responsible for building and tuning the evo8/9 FQ series and had a hand in developing the evo X FQ400.

They said Mitsu UK wont release any info or parts to anybody. They wouldnt even let those guys have an FQ400 kit for their shop car, even though they helped develop it. When i emailed them they said the only way to find part numbers/info was to purchase one.

from the 400 broshure I have....
over 500 hours of development time to re-map the ECU and the turbo has undergone a bespoke conversion, with low friction ball bearing technology (for faster response and reduced turbo lag), an extreme temperature exhaust turbine and uprated thrust bearing. Motorsport specification, high flow fuel injectors have been fitted, as well as a 3" diameter high flow stainless steel exhaust system and sports catalytic converter and a new rear diffuser to improve airflow around it's exit
official figures
403 bhp
387 lbft
0-60 3.8 secs
front axle lowered 30mm
rear axle lowered 25mm

I'm pretty sure those saying 35r are just kidding lol, I too think it might be somewhat similar to an fp green or something like that hell maybe even an hta green plus gettin a chance to see the boost plots and ecu maps would help a lot
