have you had that problem first hand, or is it just word of mouth.

my IX would shift much better of the get go with MTG 75W90 VS the straight Diaqueen 90, it has been proven over an over for multiviscocity oils to flow much better and to get to the critical places on cold startups that the reason for Multiviscocity oil's,,, this was actually something i noticed first hand right off the bat when i went from OEM to MTG.

Use Diaqueen 75-85 for the tranny and LSD 90 for front and rear diff. you can not go wrong. Warranty made not cover anything else.

Except the fact in the Evo Xs, the stock fluid makes the shifter feel terrible. Screw warranty, do you actually want to ENJOY the car, or just be forced to drive it?

your comment is not true at all, no dealer can void your waranty for using a better oil or alternative oil, AS LONG AS IT MEETS THEIR SPECS.

I'm just saying if the rear diff., tc, and tranny took a dive due to wrong oil, the dealer may not cover the repair. Not to start a fire here.

I fully understand what you are saying,,, but again that is not the case, no dealer can deny you for using a better fluid than they are offering as long as it meets and or exceeds their specs regardless if its Mitsu or Apple PC's.

Have you heard of a law called Magnuson Moss Waranty,, it protects YOU CONSUMER !

read some of this http://www.impalaclub.com/naisso/magmoss.htm

it even covers those guys with mods that the dealer says ,, NOP we wont honor waranty on your tranny or engine because you have an exhaust,, they have to prove the exhaust caused the issues.

And at this point in time dealers know better already to denny you of a tranny claim because you did not use their oils as long as you keep oil change records to show them they will NOT void waranty.

So in an event that the dealer proved the aftermarket parts or wrong oil caused the damage than you are responsible. Is that right?

Are you honestly arguing warranty on a Mitsubishi forum?

If the transmission/diff fluid is the most hard core mod you're doing to your car, and you're THAT concerned about a warranty, then no, use OEM fluids.

But for most people, we're dumping enough cash and parts into our cars that, frankly, the fluids are going to be the least-noticed thing when bringing it in for maintenance. Trust me, when I pull up to Mitsubishi for warranty support (lolz), they're going to notice a hell of a lot more things than what FLUID I'm running. They'll have plenty of reason to void my warranty, the fluids won't even come into play.

If you're staying bone stock, though? Stock tune, stock ****ty UICP, stock air filter? Then yeah, stay stock fluids. But don't use the fluid warranty voiding as some sort of silver bullet against AMSOIL; use their multi level marketing scheme and annoying sales pitch

I kid, I kid.

i know you do my friend, thats why alot of people have the notion of waranty voided to the tranny because i have an exhaust,,, but when you know whats legal and what not ,, you will get the dealer to bow down to you

the previouse post made by hotdog is a little off line has nothing to do with you questions or doubts, goldenEvo i hope i helped you with the answers and regarding Magnuson Moss Law's they protect you !

MT90 is a bit too thick on its own

100% MTL, or 2MTL/.6MT90
