HKS SSQV BOV turbo flutter please help

I have just put on a HKS SSQV BOV on my 08 X and it flutters very bad now. It did not flutter at all with the factory BOV. This valve is NOT recirculated. Would recirculating this fix the flutter?

I would def recirc that bad boy. Reason being, the X doesn't like VTA.

Plus, aftermarket BOV threads are flamebait. I'll be nice lol!

Reminds me of when the neighbor kid comes over and says - do you have a BOV??! Can I hear it?!?

Sell the HKS and put your stock valve back on. If it's not leaking past your target boost then a different diverter valve isn't going to help you. If your not running speed density don't run it vta either.

We get this all the time in the Subie forums too. I would just sell the BOV and the recirculation kit, and get a modification worthwhile. There's some guy out there who'll buy it off you; BOVs sell all day long, LOL.

my stock bov was leaking bad, so i got a ssqv3 for a good price. it holds way better, and you have the choice to recirc or vta. i was at 27 psi and couldn't really hold more than 25 to redline. tossed the hks on and was immediately hitting over 32 and holding. i ended up dropping wgdc nearly 20% i'm pretty happy with it.

Oh yeah if you're boosting that high, then an aftermarket helps. But I think the OP is stock right?

I don't understand the term of "flutter" the op is using here. The spring rate on that should be higher than stock so it actually shouldn't "flutter" as much as stock......

Ok so talked to HKS and they said this wasn't harmful due to the fact that drag racers run turbo with no BOV at all?? Sounds bad to me, but they said the recirc would help so it comes in tomorrow. Thanks for the help guys.
