Previous Evo 9 owner looking for evo x info

I've been a way from the forums for a while since my evo 9 has been gone but I'm back because I'm looking to pick up a 2010 evo x gsr here shortly as my DD. Yes I have done research in the past week or so and have looked thru the exhaust sticky and the newb stick for evo x modding etc.

I'm looking for something more specific here tho from some people out there that may be able to compare the evo 9 I had with my listed mods (unfortunately never got it dyno'd) and what it would take to turn the evo X into a comparable car to what I had... Same mods, different mods... IE, what intake is comparable to the buschur I had on the 9, same with the greddy evo 2 exhaust I had (which I loved) what is comparable on the X. I dont want obnoxious pull me over loud, but I do want a nice sound especially at WOT and superb fit finish and quality.

Basically how do I as closely as possible make an X as close to my previous 9 as possible what mods what $$ what should be added to the list, removed, replaced etc etc. Specifics are awesome

Intelligent input is appreciated.

if exclude the non performance mods to get the same power as you had in the IX:

HFC + catback + tune

UICP/LICP/intake don't really do much for performance at the power level you aiming at...

because the X weighs a little more, you will probably want slightly more power than you IX had to maintain the same power/weight ratio... a dose of E85/meth will fix that

There are just too many options out there at too many price levels. It sounds like you like Buschur and they have a full line-up for the X. AMS, ETS, and Ultimate Racing make good stuff.

I have a pretty wide mix on my car. I think I'd lean toward ETS if I were building a new car since they have a full range of offerings that look good to me.

I think just the fact the EVO X is so much newer that its going to cost more to get the same kind of performace. The EVO 8 and 9's have been well documented and everyone knows how to squeeze every last bit of power out of them.
