Hey Drastik, did you happen to take pics of the entire process? Pics of the shep pins? Why'd you use the shep pins over, say, the Baschur?

Thanks!

Sorry, I actually went with the Buschur pins/dowels, not shep. There is a good guide on the other forum if you google "center diff pin swap".

What was your reasoning behind going Baschur over the Shep pins?

I'll see if I can find it over on "the OTHER forums"...

I didn't like how the Shep pins were just OEM pins. I don't know which one is better, or if anyone knows, but for now it helps.

My new revision 1 pins, EN30 steel, hardened to 60HRC, ground to size, titanium nitride coated, multiple spiral oiling grooves force fed from gearbox oil bath. Made in standard size and 0.2mm oversize for replacement where gear internals are damaged, in this case, the gear internals, centre diff case and centre block are ground to the correct oversize. Also tool steel retaining pins.

So did you get any other work done to the diff or tranny, or did you just get it all shipped back to you stock because it already had the new, upgraded pins? Just wondering because I have a 2011, and I would love to not have to upgrade the pins when I do my clutch down the line.

You will also need the Torrington bearing upgrade, just contact Trevor from Shep Trans @ Trevor@sheptrans.com and he will assist you

would like to know this as well - looking at buying a 2011 or 2012 model and hope that they have solved this issue by now...

I've read that the 2011 have the diff pin upgrade - was wondering if the 2010's have it as well?
