Good or bad I think we would all love to see the gains, minimal or not.

Sorry guys for the delay. The customer had to go out of town so we will do the before and after when he gets back. I have a solid before plot and as soon as he gets back we will post it up. I haven't been on as we are finishing up a 20b into an RX8 and needless to say it has consumed my whole existence.

Hopefully the end of this week we will have a plot up to compare. I am just as excited as all of you guys so stay tuned.

Good to see another Evo X rocking one of these! He should already noticed quicker spool up and increased torque.

I read in another thread that the gains are minimal at best.

Cool

I'm the out of town guy now back in town. The Blitz manifold, on top of previous add ins (summary: AEM cold air intake, 2.5 UIP, ARC front mount intercooler, 255 Walbro, Cosworth Fuel Rail , DW 800cc's, Kelford II with Springs, Garrett 3076R with internal wastegate grinded out, ATP divorced down pipe with Tial 44 external wastegate, UR test pipe with mini muffler, RRE sideways muffler, all boost settings on Greddy profec-B to minimum, except high RPM boost limiter set at .48 bar with 20% boost attenuation.) noticably builds up torque at less boost and pulls better at the same given boost. This effect is much enhance at high speeds and lane change/passing maneuvers, whereby the cars pulls without having to be revved as much without the classical EVO X attendant turbo excitation and drama. I have more of a higway car: less frenetic and straining. Originally, I wanted to buy the Blitz for it's potential 'surge tank' effect in reducing severe compressor surge driving up highway grades at higher altitudes. At it's worst, on many occasions, I would surge just going the speed limit. Once, I though I would downshift just before a grade, to raise the rpm to the right of the surge line, and KERPOW: Big Turbo CHUG-CHUG-CHUG and then hard limp mode. I tried restarting four times, and each time the turbo has a pathetic 'playing card through a bicycle spoke' flutter...same hard limp mode. So I proceeded going extremely slow for 800 feet. Then it was fine after re-starting. A testament to double ball bearing technology! What a scare!! Anyway, reducing boost helped but did not get rid of compressor surge. Then, before the Blitz manif., I replaced my otherwise elegantly flawless Perrin recirculating valve with the APS recirculated with ATM vented overflow. It eliminated surge, even at speeds 10 mph+ higher up the mountain grades. I just wish, I could have tested stronger pulls up the hills, but I was scared. So with the Blitz manifold, I figured I would now dare try gunning it up those grades because of the theoretically less radical air pressure transitions afforded by the increase capacity plenum. I got mild compressor surge. Enough to want me not to try it again. Would I have gotten more surge with the stock intake gunning it? Or less? Who is to say? Currently, the Blitz runners are tapped for hydrogenated, vacuum driven water/isopropyl injection (Aquatune..> Aquathrust) and with the injection system operating, I am experiencing more neck snapping acceleration with better gas mileage and no trajedy if I use regular, though the care still prefers premium.
