Knock, Knock.....

Hi guys,

I recently flashed to the Cobb Stage 2 91 Octane 1.07 MR map, and I seem to be having a knock issue.

I'm getting a consistent up-to knock of 1.1 on the Cobb AP. So approx 3.3 knock.

I'm just curious how this is possible considering I am running 94 Oct gas. I have full Ultimate Racing TBE with boost pill removed. *note* running high-flow cat.

Does the LTFT have anything to do with this? I know my car does adjust the LTFT a little bit, and having JUST flashed... My corrections would be gone.

Going to try doing some Logs tomorrow.

I have an LC-1 Innovate Wideband but I have not hooked it up yet. (I really need to do this)

I thought I would be pretty safe running the 91 Map on 94 octane...

Install the LC-1 and log some passes, maybe you're running leaner than you think? Where in the rpm range is the knock occuring? You'd be most prone at or near peak VE (all other things equal) and I wonder if that's where it's happening.

** UPDATE **

Incoming mother of data logs.

http://www.2shared.com/file/hPgYdhWW/datalog1.html

I have not setup my LC1 yet... I'm honestly not really sure how to run the wires. I had the shop make the bung for me, it's behind the HF cat though

Any comments on the data log? it seems to knocks at above 6k

regarding the lc1 setup.. it really depends where your bung is..

if its in the frontpipe (like it should be) then follow the front 02 wiring up into the car (comes out in the passenger footwell on LHD)

if its behind the cat (like it SHOULDN'T be) then you can follow the rear02 wiring up under the passenger seat on LHD)

Did anybody get a chance to look at the datalog?

http://www.2shared.com/file/hPgYdhWW/datalog1.html

Would really appreciate it if you can see anything strange.

Oh and regarding going to a shop, unfortunately none in the area that have any good reviews.

I heard Neetronics was good, then I heard of a couple blown engines from them... eeek
