Just installed: AEM intake + Cobb AP
Just installed: AEM intake + Cobb AP
Ohh what a difference such a little thing can make! Installed the newly recived AEM intake and Cobb AP today after work. AEM install was pretty straight forward although the AEM instructions do leave something to be desired, a little common sense goes a long way and that intake hole sealer rubber thing they give you.. c'mon really? For the price of this intake you'd expect something a little better, but all in all, the intake is infact a nice piece.
Cobb AP install was pretty straight forward, just installed the AP manager and made sure I had the latest firmware, DL'd the Stg 1. AEM 93oct map and right into the car it went. Let it idle for about 5 mins w/o load, then took it for a 7-10min cruise before I let into it..... Dayum!!
Accelerator response is definatley improved in the low end, throttle response is more 'crisp' and you do feel a notable increase in boost roll-on through 4500rpm, and from 5000 and up it's just a completley different car altogether! Pulls to and beyond the redline with a certain eagerness, found myself ***** deep in 4th reaching for 5th on a local street in quite a snap.
Bottom line is, AEM + CobbAP = WIN, total time invested was just over an hour, reward is still tingling... in my pants
