AMS MC Ring vs SSP MC Kit

Has any one compared the two? I just recently installed a Exedy HD Twin Disk and I know my stock MC wont last. Just curious on which to go with and why... ?

I had the AMS ring with stock MC, using the Exedy Stage 2 clutch and the stock MC broke. Now im using the SSP MC with upgraded plunger with no problems. I say do it right the first time and go with SSP, by far one of my favorite mods.

From what I have heard while talking to AMS regarding the same topic is that you still have the possibility of failure even with their kit. Their kit is to pretty much clamp two plastic pieces together. The plastic could still be vulnerable in the other areas. The SSP from what I understand remove the plastic liability away from the equation. Unfortunately I have not heard any news, good nor bad.

Some last, some dont. Our product was developed because to help reinforce the stock master. At the time it was developed we hadn't had one break on us. It was our dealer in Puerto Rico that noticed the problem and asked us to come up with a fix. This was the fastest solution.

The reinforcement ring works great for most everyone, but it is not a permanent fix.

Hmm good points... I am hoping my car will last with the AMS MC Ring. I DD mine and usually drive like an old lady. If not I will get the SSP. I wonder if any one has combined the 2?

There would be no point in using both. The SSP is solid billet. Its not breaking.

Yeah, the SSP isn't going to shatter like the stock MC does. It might have OTHER issues, but the ring ain't gonna do anything.
