Not a X owner but I would say pump first. My pump ran out of fuel pretty quickly. Haha not to mention it was a lot cheaper to get a pump. Its not a perfect practice but when my injectors started hitting their ceiling I upped the latency and that allowed them to run past what they normally would. I blew fuel fuses though because of it..

the X's pump flows substantially more than the prior models. I say go for injectors first.

Yup. Someone recently tested the stock pump and it was good to 480 on their dyno. Plenty for stock turbo unless you go E85.

injectors first. rated 600cc and should be able to get you to approx. 350whp (depending on fuel type & setup) with little or no probs but do not it is rated not guaranteed.

just my 2 cents

I was running E85 on the stock pump and still was able to hit 10.5 AFR (gas scale) at 7000 RPM with no issues. And yes that was very rich, but I still hit it.

(Note: I had FIC1100's installed)

800cc on Pump Gas should be able to support 450ish whp which is more than the stock fuel pump can handle for sure. A single walbro and set of 800's would be ideal if you're staying around that level.

Its good someone else came in here. I have always been told pump but that is on a IX. Is there a way you could do both at the same time right now man? That way its just done and out of the way.

the pump is fine for your mods, just get injectors.

Here's a calculator.

http://www.deatschwerks.com/catalog/...alculators.php

With the mods listed on 93 octane you will probably be around 340 whp / ~400 at the flywheel. If you use a BSFC value of .6 and target duty cycle of 80% you will need 800 cc injectors.

Are you saying that the stock pump should be OK with maxed-out stock turbo and stock injectors?

What if I throw in DW 800cc? Still OK?

Need to know ASAP, please.

Supporting mods : BC 272, TBE, FMIC, UICP, etc.
