Is it normal for the clutch to make these noises when I step down on the clutch? I recently put in a Exedy stage 2 HD w/ ACT prolite flywheel and the SSP MC w/ plunger. I have put 1500 miles on the new clutch and the squeaking is starting to get louder and more annoying.

 

i know exactly what noise you're talking about but i dont know what it is...

 

On my IX it did it every time I pushed in the pedal a year ago. It just disappeared and hasn't happened since. It was really annoying, especially at like a drive through.

 

I have the same problem with my aftermarket clutch... That makes me go crazy when I am in the traffic at very low speed and keep clutching and declutching... GGGrrrrrrrr...


Anybody knows what could be the problem? apparently it's normal on certain aftermarket clutch (metal to metal) and will not harm the clutch..

 

happens on and off with my 8 as well.

 

My pedal started squeaking a few thousand miles ago but it went away after I sprayed a bunch of silicon lube up where it pivots. There was a bunch of grease up there but I guess it came off the part it really needed it.
