Evo X MR problem

I'm having a little transmission problem with my 2008 Evo X MR. Its happened about 3 times, but yesterday really concerned me. I was driving in automatic (normal mode). It normally shifts itself at about 2500 RPMS. I think the problem was i didn't warm it up enough before driving it (i could be wrong though). But about half way to my destination (10 minutes) it started shifting at 4500 rpms threw every gear (still in normal mode transmission). My service required light came on, but when i started it back up it stayed off and still shifted in high rpms. It was just weird. Any comments or concerns will be appreciated. thank you.

so normal mode was like sport mode? ahh just a few gremlins, beat the crap out of it and take it for warranty work when needed, thats my approach to this clunky sst
