Hard to say. Your pics aren't the best. Generally, a new disc when compressed is about .315" thick and totally worn out if below .25" thick.

Double post. But while you have the tranny off, I would upgrade it.

Looks like they have you!.. Not sure what the issue is but that clutch has more wear on it then ones I have taken out of my own car with 80k on them-- just so you know that fly wheel with the hot spots--( dark dashes) are a dead give away of the abuse you threw down. If you havent been abusing it in the classical sense then you need to improve your " I can drive a std" skills a lot.

Agreed. I really see no way that a clutch got that worn in 3700 miles, unless you were really getting on it...

The clutch is pretty worn for only 3700 miles though, that is what we are getting at, at that mileage it should be damn near new. Another thing that will be a sign of abuse is the hot spots on the flywheel. You have to get a better picture of it to show the wear patterns on the plate.

dealer warranty ftl ;o
Warranty is good if you baby your car, in which most cases won't create a problem and you won't have to use any warranty, damn the dealer is so smart, sigh.

someone realized that only the other range of the clutch disc is worn. Which isnt normal and if you look at the flywheel it doesnt have any heatspots but does have some glazing only on the outer rim and look like the middle of the flywheel hasnt been touched either

Doesn't look all that bad to me. What the hell does that have to do with synchros anyway?? You should have seen mine at 4000 TOAST.

Doesn't look bad to me either. I simply wouldn't settle for denying warranty work.
