hi im in a middle of a purchase and dude claims its a FP red, but how can i be sure what do i look for , how many blades? curved or straight cut please help thanks

Look to see if it is ported.

 

What and where do you look?

 

into the exhaust housing (where it connects to your DP) it should be ported out and smoothed.
Though, if you have to ask this question, maybe you shouldn't be putting an engine-killer such as a red on your car?

 

I wouldn't call the red an engine killer, just because one dumb *** blew up his motor doesn't mean another person won't

But seriously, it isn't too bad of an engine killer.

but in the hands of a "moar power" guy who can't even tell what turbo he is holding in his hands, I see holes in the block.

That does not mean that the OP or anyone else in this thread is that kind of guy, but everyone should be properly educated about what is on their car and how it works. Unless you're loaded, but then you wont be buying second-hand FP turbos.. :-)
